hopeless romantic.
unlike a lot of guys his age, vincent is absolutely a hopeless romantic. in his eyes, every girl is a gem. he loves having a girlfriend, and pampers them quite a lot. you can expect dinner reservations every saturday night with a huge bouquet of roses inside the limosine. this was how his mother brought him up. however, vincent gets a little quiet around a lady he really likes. because of the previous qualities, vincent gets heart broken a lot. what's that they say? nice guys finish last.
dedicated.
vincent is very dedicated to his career. without dedication, he'd be homeless in an alleyway. how do you think he got this far? he's published three books already. but it's all from his heart; he has a committed spirit. he's dedicated in every aspect in his life, uncluding; family, friends, and life in general.
reserved.
the only way he can say what he wants is through his articles and books. in them, he may seem very outgoing and loud. he lets loose through his writing. however, when it comes to speaking words, vincent seems at a loss half of the time. he's mostly quiet. and usually the guy sitting by himself in a bar drinking none other than wine, unless he has a girlfriend or is with a friend. he's not outgoing at all.
daring.
even though he's quiet, vincent is quite daring. he loves thrill and adventures. though he might go over to the States for a book signing, he's really looking forward to sky diving. he's also a fast driver. back in high school, he used to street race. he also enjoys motorcycling and dirt bike racing. an all time favorite? bungee jumping. perhaps it's vincent's way of being "loud" and making a point to tell people that no, he isn't just some quiet loner.
fights problems with bigger problems,
family members, mother; annette rivera. father; dawson rivera. younger sister; sarah anne rivera [seventeen].
detailed history, vincent opened his baby blue eyes on january fifteenth, year nineteen eighty-five. he was a tiny baby, and resembled nothing of what he resembled today. his mother looked down on him and thought, oh, he's such a beauty. he will be a football player someday, i'm sure. just like his mum and dad.
vincent, however, disappointed his mother. he was neve rinto sports. he was always the little book worm. okay, not so little. but he was very into literature. while his mother wasn't too disappointed in him, his father was practically infuriated at the words, "Daddy, I hate football!" of course, his dad did have quite the temper. thankfully, vincent didn't inherit that trait. he grew to be the exact opposite of his father, and a lot like his mother.
his father had a poor childhood and worked hard to make the money that he did to make sure his family had everything they wanted. his dreams happened, and he opened up his own corporation dedicated to football ["soccer"] uniforms and equipment. It was, and is, one of the top corporations in brittain. thus, vincent and sister grew up ina very luxurious setting. large home, designer clothes, high society status. everything a kid could want, right?
well vincent's father certainly thought so. but when vincent began to show his true colors, his father hated it. so much that he began to go downhill. while his corporation is still strong, dawson is very into drugs and drug dealing. the woman of the family don't know, but intelligent vincent cannot be fooled by his father's stealthiness. vincent and dawson clash quite a lot. to the point where they don't even speak. secretly, however, dawson is proud that his son has made good of his life.
when vincent was twelve, his older brother, lewis was killed. the seventeen year old was involved in gang-related activities and was killed in a fight.
vincent had his first girlfriend at age fourteen. the relationship lasted for two years, shockingly. but then, as teenage years go, he found out that she cheated on him. sixteen years of age marks vincent's first heart break. ever since then, vincent has had only bad luck with the opposite sex. they've either broken up with him with no explanation, cheated on him, moved to the other side of the country, etc. he hasn't a solid relationship in two years, but for once, vincent is no hurry to fall in love again. because he'll fall to hard and crash to ground. and probably break more than his heart.

“Call me Daunte, not Mr. Stone. That formality just makes me sound old!” Lauren cleared her throat. "Formality is called for in a student to headmistress ratio, Mister Stone." She put emphasis on the way she called him Mister Stone, again, despite his request. She averted her eyes away from him and pulled out a pad of yellow lined paper and a black ball point, professional, expensive pen. Her mother had given her that pen when this school year started. Who knew a pen could cost a couple of hundred dollars? It was ridiculous. Ink, metal outer shell. Two hundred dollars. Ridiculous.
Lauren raised an eyebrow at Daunte as he issued his complaint, but she took notes. She shook her head a few times. She dated the top of the paper after he finished speaking. Lauren stood and placed one hand on her desk, and the other on her hip. "Mister Stone, next time you will not be rude during class to your professor. You deserved the detention, I'm sure. I only hire the most elite staff." It was true, the application process took months. She hadn't fired a teacher in years. Nothing bad happened under this headmistress's watch.
She cleared her throat and raised a hand to indicate she wasn't finished. "It is your own fault you missed Lacrosse practice, Mister Stone. Academics are priority, sports aren't, despite your belief." Lauren walked to her water cooler, grabbed a cup from the top of it, and drained some water into the cup. She took a sip, or maybe a gulp, and returned to her desk. Her long, blonde, wavy hair swishing across her shoulders and back as she moved swiftly.
Lauren folded her hands on the desk in front of her. "Anything else I can assist you with, Mister Stone?" She smiled slightly, just curling up the edges of her lips. The smile was almost sour, and full of disapproval. Maybe almost even a smirk. But this was what the woman turned into after years of dealing with adolescents. Sour and bitter. It certainly didn't match her soft physical appearance.
It was ridiculous, these students thinking they were better than their superiors. Who did they think they were? God? Her? Lauren almost laughed to herself. Don't get too conceited, Lauren. She ran a finger through her hair, noticing how striking the young man in front of her was. It was a shame he was such a rebellious, rude, good for just about nothing, young kid. He could amount to something some day. But possibly not. He certainly wouldn't get anywhere with such a snotty attitude.
Lauren closed his file, leaned down and stuck it back in the filing cabinet. She made a note to get a new cabinet, this one was getting way too full.
