personality,
- when she is nervous or very close to a person, cora will begin to babble on and on about anything. that's the exact reason she tries to prevent speaking in public because she has horrible stage fright. although, when she meets a new person cora will remain quiet and allow them to speak until they either impress her or totally piss her off. then she talks a lot more than normal. it's like, when she begins speaking words just flow out and then so many come out so quickly that she can't organize her thoughts and that causes her to make no sense at all.
- when you piss of this girl, you are practically telling her that you want to be bitch slapped. seriously, if a person is rude to her or she simply doesn't like you then she'll blow her stack and start screaming. there are so many people in this world that annoy her that she is almost always this huge bitch where only her friends can calm her down and trust me, she has a lot of those, too. almost every saturday night you can find this chick at some house party or some nightclub she managed to get into either with a bribe or a fake id. it doesn't really matter how she gets iin because either way, she is still some huge party girl who enjoys to live it up. when your only young once, you might as well enjoy it while you can, right? the numerous times that cora has woke up somewhere other than her home are all due to make alcoholic beverages and some hot guy that caught her attention.
- back to the fact that cora has woken up in bed with a guy she barely ever knows various times. maybe it was the alcohol then but, there is also the fact that she hasn't had a real relationship since she was in fifth grade. cora is a huge flirt and will tease a guy until she's drove him mad with her flirting. so many guys see her as just an easy target and maybe that is exactly what she is. when you describe cora as tough, it's not meant to sound like we're saying the girl can beat up whoever tests her. it's meant in the sense that she doesn't cry often because she is terrified of looking like she's weak. she never appreciates sympathy which is exactly why cora forces a smile everyday even if she is hurting on the inside.
- you will always be the first to apologize with cora, whether or not it was your fault. with her creative mind she will make it so it seems like your fault. many times she has broken into a verbal war with her teachers because she voices her opinions. that should be a good thing though, right? wrong. whenever you get cora in a disagreement she'll keep on until you finally agree with her. she is terrified of being criticized. because cora feels like she should be the confident type, she acts that way but below the surface she is actually not so much that way. when people critique her, cora knows that will make her upset with herself for not being the perfect girl which is exactly why she fears it so much.
- after what happened in the past with her brother, it's like she is hiding all of these emotions that she couldn't dare to spill out because if they do it will show a whole another side of her that would make people think differently of her. again, this comes back to the sympathy thing and how she cannot handle receiving sympathy from others. cora is secretly afraid of death and dying which makes her much less daring. it's more of a disease than a fear. before she goes anywhere, her parents are always worried about her health. when she goes out into places with too many people, cora is known to faint or feel woozy because she is an agoraphobic. of course, none of her friends know this she she tries to conceal it but eventually, somebody will find out.

detailed history,
- whenever your in highschool, everyone just expects the most popular guy and girl to date, like the head cheerleader and the football captain. that was exactly what happened with marissa and jacob sanders. marissa was the most popular girl in the school, the eleventh grade alpha, the girl everyone followed or dreamed of following. then there was jacob, he was your typical jock boy who spent every moment focused on football. all the guys expected him to date marissa and all the girls expected marissa to date him. so, because of pressure, jacob asked her out. of course, marissa was more worried about her reputation and said yes to him.
- jacob and marissa dated for the rest of the school year and jacob graduated that year, deciding not to go to college because that would mean leaving marissa who was still in her last year of school. after that year was completed, marissa graduated and soon found that she was pregnant with jacob's baby. nine months passed quickly and the calender read september 21st, the day both cora jade fox and austin taylor fox were born, twins. marissa and jacob hadn't even been sure if they could handle one baby at such a young age and now they would be forced to care for two. life had a way of throwing things at you and that was exactly what had happened with those two. atleast jacob wasn't a guy who would ditch his girlfriend when he found out that she was pregnant with his baby.
- years passed and the children began growing, it took effort from both parents but, whenever cora was five her mother took a career in the modeling business which caused her to never be home. soon after, jacob portrayed a job in acting which had always been his natural talent. it seemed like after their careers began, the children were always left home with a nanny who allowed them to do whatever they pleased. that was the start of a bad life for two children. as austin and cora grew and grew, it seemed like they were always fighting. cora was connected to him but, he didn't want anything to do with her. on their twelfth birthday, it seemed as if something fishy was going on with her brother and his so called friends. nothing ever made sense but, austin was always out with his friends. everything was perfectly fine though, that was until they turned fifteen.
- it was the middle of the day and autin told his family that he would be staying at a friends house and he would be perfectly fine walking but, he promised to call when he got there. hours passed and no call until five hours later when the police appeared at the doorstep, all cora knew was that something bad had happened involving her. it wasn't until her parents told her that he was gone everything began making sense. from what she knew, austin had been walking down the road and a car drove by, shooting him and one of his friends. time was slow, days dragged on as the family attempted to return to normal after the death but, nobody progressed. it seemed like her mother was always upset, not eating anything and not sleeping at night. two months had passed but, it seemed like her mother was more upset than any of them. she worried about her but, never brought it up because that might begin a conversation about austin which was something that they couldn't handle.
- one night as cora fell into a light slumber, ambulances were heard outside of her home along with voices in the home which awoke her. naturally, she crawled out of bed and looked to the hallway where police, doctors, and her father all stood speaking in hushed tones. when she asked what had happened, they all just told her to go to sleep but before she could do even that cora peered into the bathroom where her mother lied in the blood-filled bathtub. she knew what had happened but, didn't want to believe it. she couldn't believe her mother was so unhappy with her life. unhappy enough to do this kind of thing. when she became old enough, cora moved to new york. most of the time was silent and blocked out anyone who tried to talk to her. everybody would ask what was wrong but, she didn't speak of it to anyone. the memory of the deaths caused her sleepless nights and many tears. her father has fell into a state of depression so, without someone to watch over her, cora has became a completely different person.

The clock on her bed-stand read 4:30 A.M. Never was Ainsley a very heavy sleeper and her fear of thunderstorms didn't help at this exact moment. As the lightning and thunder had continued for hours, the brunette laid beneath the cotton sheets covering her queen sized bed. When she finally decided sleeping was completely out of question she stepped onto the white carpet. With only a few more steps she was standing directly in front of her huge closet, packed completely with clothes. Ainsley ran her newly manicured nails over the hanger, eying the selection of clothing she owned and finally deciding on a pair of denim shorts along with an oversized top that read 'I'm Famous on Myspace'.
Ainsley was one of the most scatter brained people, she could never find anything when she needed it. That was the case as she stumbled across her room in search of her cell phone. After shuffling through everything on her bedside table, she finally found it beneath a stack of paper on her desk. Picking up the phone, she decided texting was much easier and hoped that whoever she decided to text would be awake. Thinking it over for only a moment, Hunter seemed to be the one person she wanted to see right now after going about two days without seeing him at all, she was beginning to miss him. Her fingers moved across the keys on her phone as she quickly typed, looking over the message once before pressing send.
hey, bby. bored, come over here c u soon.
Time had passed slowly but, it was still 4:30 in the morning. If she actually ended up waking Hunter, hopefully an apology or two could brush the whole thing off and they could act like it never happened. It wouldn't surprise her if he was awake though, the roaring thunder was enough to keep anyone awake, unless of course they were one of those who could sleep through a hurricane. Walking downstairs to the living room with her cell phone in hand, Ainsley's mind drifted away into though. Why did they actually call it a living room? Aren't you alive in every room? It's not like you go into the living room and you're living and then you go into the bathroom and then you die. It was the small things like these that got her to really thinking and questioning the world.
Reaching the living room, Ainsley plopped down on the couch and curled into a ball, decided she might as well wait here for her company so he could just knock and she would be able to hear it rather than him having to ring the door bell and wake up Ryan who was asleep in her upstairs bedroom. Unlike her, Ryan could sleep through anything at all without trouble and it was hell trying to wake her up but, if that loud ass doorbell rang it was sure to wake her up. Thankfully her parents were off in Greece for vacation and Ainsley wasn't going to get in trouble for the things she did while they were gone unless she went off and got pregnant or something but, that was a little far fetched for someone like her who was more likely to keep to herself than anyone else.
Sleep Deprived and almost dying of boredom, the perfect description for Ainsley at the current moment in time. It was hard for her to keep her eyes open and just laying her on the couch without anything except waiting for Hunter and the roaring thunder to keep her awake. Hoping to keep herself from being too bored, she curled her French manicured hand around the remote to the television and flicked on the T.V. With a click of the button that read 'guide' she was browsing through titles of movies, shows, and the additional game channels. She decided there wasn't much on and finally settled on a repeat of MTV's Scarred. Ainsley was never a big fan of extreme sports personally but, with all her compassion she enjoyed watching idiots hurt themselves and end up recording it. Perhaps she wasn't the sweetest of people but, it was kind of hilarious watching people do idiotic things.
When a commercial break came along, she stood up from her position on the comfortable couch and walked to the kitchen where her live in house keeper Estella stood. Ainsley smiled at the older woman, "Can I have a strawberry smoothie?" she questioned and with a nod, she pulled out the blender and necessary ingredients before beginning to make the smoothie which was ready in a matter of minutes. "Thank you." she smiled and took the drink from her, returning to her position at the couch. Time was being wasted and it just made her exhausted to an extreme. She needed to sleep, "Estella, if anyone comes over for me, please let them in." she requested, talking a bit louder than previously because of the growing distance between the two.
Returning to the curled up position on the couch, she closed her aqua blue orbs, the thunder and lightning ending but, the rain still remained, falling from the sky in cold droplets one after another. It wasn't long before she fell into a slumber but it wasn't exactly peaceful. Nightmares of the past haunted her, everything was so similar to the actual event. It was her, sitting beside the hospital bed where her loved one lied, his heart beat barely existent until the exact moment of 5:43 A.M, the moment the heart beat ceased completely taking him from the world and breaking her heart. It was all so perfect before that moment but then, the change had happened. One that changed all of the Matthews family and her. It made her cold hearted to many but the honest truth was she was simply broken hearted over the whole thing.
Sweat poured down her body as she woke, the memory would haunt her forever and she could merely try and forget but, it wasn't as easy as some people made it seem. When you fall in love, you never expect anything bad to happen and you always wish for the best but, whatever comes may not always be that. Ainsley had heard the story of Cinderella and always wished for that kind of love and when she finally got it, only bad things came. I guess you can only receive so many miracles. The incident with Conner was enough to prove that fairy tales don't always have a happy ending and Ainsley was one of those who gave up way too soon. Whenever one thing didn't end so great, she gave up on waiting for another to.
Maybe that was the reason it was so hard for her to tell Hunter that she fell for him. When they had met years ago it had started out as a friendship but now, she had this huge developed crush on him but, she was simply terrified of telling him because she didn't want to end up with what she had left of a broken heart to be destroyed too by yet another guy. All she could do was hope that this would work out well. The rest was destiny.
