we'd be so less fragile if we're made from metal ,, and our hearts from iron and our minds from steel. - - - - - - There were a few things that Stella McCartney often found herself over doing. There were the simplistic things, such as being obsessed with perfection. That was probably one thing that everyone knew about Stella. No matter what it was, it had to be perfect. And that was probably the reason she was so truly flawed. She lived for it, and strived for it more than anything. It was the reason most things in her life ended, because she tried so hard to make them perfect, even if they were content just where they were. Her looks got the jist of the addiction the most. Her hair had to always fall in just the right spots, and her clothing had to fit just right, otherwise she wouldn't even dream of being seen out in public. It wasn't a good thing, or something that she was proud of but she knew why she was this way, and that was something she wouldn't tell anyone, not even her closest friends. The reason was due to nothing other than her being self-conscious about herself. One may not ever believe that Stella was self-conscious, because she never came off that way, and she tried to act like she thought she was better than others, but when it came down to it, she did not really believe that. One other, not so good thing that Stella did was looking to far into things. She picked and pulled peices apart to try to understand what people were really saying. People could make mere, meaningless statements and they'd boggle her mind until she found out what they really meant, or what she thought they really meant.
At the exact moment she found herself sunken into the black leather couch, silver cell-phone still open in her hands reading Icarus' last text over and over again. 'You are my favorite person.' Yes, something as small as that, which was said in what was nothing other than sarcasm she was over analyzing. Stella knew she was not truly his favorite person ever, but the fact that he said it, even if it was out of sarcasm, it made her feel better about the issue between the two. Finally, she pressed the red escape key on her phone, and stopped admiring the ever so friendly text message. Dropping her head slighly backwards she let out a deep breath. Not in a million years did Stella think her plans for tonight would be these. There were only a few things and people that had the capability to make her nervous, and she found herself nervous at the moment for the up and comming hours of the night. There was a part of her that was tempted to text him back and tell him that she couldn't meet him, and make up some bull shit excuse, but she chose against it. Sooner or later they would have to see eachother, and she figured the longer she waited, the worse it would be. Hopefully after night she could gain a friend that she really did miss. He has turned into a steady rock for her at one time. A person she knew that no matter what she could lean on, but just as soon as she felt that steadiness the rock was pulled away. For the most part, it was her fault because she had been so aggressive throughout their relationship, but she couldn't help it at times. But the blame game was over, and so were they. And at this stage in her life, she could settle for them being just friends, aslong as they were there for eachother.
Pushing herself up gently from the couch she took a glance at the stainless steal clock hanging on the wall. Seven-thirty, and it didn't take a half hour to get to best buy. But the thought of sitting in her house any long was horrid. Sometimes she wondered why she even came home at times on the weekends. Sure, the dorms weren't the greatest either, but home was just horrible. The thought of her mother, and her uncle (PS-her mom re-married her dad's brother XD) made her cringe, and they were everywhere. Photo's on the wall, on all of the stands in the house, and it made her sick. She had been ready all day waiting for something to come up, and doing pretty much nothing with her day other than hiding from the gruesome twosome. As she took gentle steps on the mahogany floor she took a glance into the great room, where the two were seated. She stopped in her tracks, rolled her eyes at the two, and made her way out of there. They were lucky to get that out of her, they were well aware that she could careless for either of them, but they didn't care, because apparently they were too inlove.
As she got into her charcoal gray ranger rover, which she liked to refer to as just a bribe by her uncle to make her like him, that would never work, and drove on her way to Best Buy. Driving wasn't one of her favorite things to do, she preferred to be driven around, and just take up rides with her friends. She went through the driving stage, when she turned sixteen she wanted to drive every where. These days it seemed like much more of a chore, not a luxury. People took advantage of that fact that she had her own car and she ended up driving everywhere, and being the designated driver most nights. But through it all, she'd do it for her friends, and that was why she didn't sit there and tell Icarus she didn't want to drive. Before she knew it she was making her way through the crowded parking lot, being sure not to go too fast. There were too many times in the past where she sped through and had come close to hitting someone, or something. She was a little speed demon behind that wheel, and she didn't need to be getting in an accident. That would be both bad and embarrassing. Especially if it wasn't a car that she hit. Stella knew that Icarus couldn't see her but she nodded in approval anyways, she did not think that he would already be outside waiting. Pulling over the yellow painted marks on the pavement she leaned over the elbow rest and pushed open the door. "Impressive." She said, this time nodding for him to see.

• • • • breathtaking , icarus karson o'connorthe moon and stars are ganging up on the sun, Work was something Icarus had been dreading all day. He was suppose to fill in for somebody he didn't even know and it had been buggging him the full eight hours he'd been at the store. Icarus worked at best buy as a sales associate. He helped people interested in purchasing computers find the right one for them. It was the most irritating job you could ever get. Icarus had told himself that it wouldn't be half as bad as working at a fast food joint but now he was starting to rethink this decision of his. Icarus leaned up against on of the shelves as he looked around the store. Nobody seemed to be interested in his section that evening. Then again why would anyone want to come buy a new computer so late in the evening. It was right around dinner time too. Plus it was a Tuesday and it wasn't as if the store was having a sale at the moment. That was when they raked in the most customers. Work would be dull all week and maybe Saturday it'd get better. At least his hours looked better this weekend then they had that weekend. Icarus had to blow off all of his friends and plans the last Saturday and Sunday because of his stupid job. Of course none of them seemed to understand it either since pretty much all of them had been spoiled rootten their entire life and didn't understand what it was like to have to work for something. A few might but for the most part they didn't really get it. Icarus had turned into somebody they didn't know anyways. He had changed so very much over the years.
Looking down at his wrist watch Icarus rubbed his lips together. He was almost done here anyways so he might as well just go get ready. Earlier that day on his lunch break he had made plans with an old friend via text. That old friend just so happened to be an ex girlfriend named Stella Mccartney. The two had quite the history too. Long story short; Icarus had been involved in an on again off again relationship for about two years when he had been smart enough to stay in school. Then one day it hit him that there was no point in living a life that he didn't like and kind of just kicked himself out of his parents home by telling them his plans to drop out of school. Things would've been easier if he just commited suecide on everyone's part but life was getting better. Not really after the other night and what had happened between him and Mimi. However, Icarus was positive Mimi wouldn't have mentioned anything of the sort to Stella on account that she was sort of obilvious to the fact that they had shared something special with one another. Aure everyone was well aware that Icarus and Mimi had dated at one point but they all didn't have a clue as to how much they meant to one another let alone how much they still were connected to each other. Icarus had kind of fucked that all up so now he was looking to make things better with everyone. Mimi was his top priority at the moment but since she was basically ignoring him he decided to move on to option B and begin to set things straight with Stella.
It wasn't as if he didn't care about the girl as much as he did Mimi because he did just as much. Just ever since he had dropped out of school it seemed as if she didn't like him. They had gotten into a big dispute when he tried to explain everything to him. But Icarus felt as though this time of year you were suppose to forgive and forget so he had finally gotten around to putting his plot into action. The one that consisted of making things right with dear Stella. He wanted to start over as soon as possible and pretty much begged for the brunette to hang out with him later that evening. She was picking him up in just ten minutes as Icarus glanced at his wrist once more and headed to the bathrooms for empolyees only. He got himself out of his best buy uniform which consisted of a royal blue top and kaki slacks. He quickly got out of it all and jumped into a plain white polo shirt and some grungy looking jeans. He looped the belt around his thin waistto keep his pants from falling off and folded his work clothes up and threw them in a grocery bag and carried it out fot he store with him after clocking out.
Almost as soon as Icarus exsitted the building his body began to shake. Icarus had been smart enough to forget a jacket and had to hug himself and just pray that Stella would show up soon. Still shivering he curled his toes up inside of his running shoes. They completely clashed with his outfit but Icarus could care less. He was about to cash in big time on a bunch of his old clothes and he kind of couldn't wait. He didn't own too many things right now after being thrown out of his house and he'd never gotten a chance to go pick up all his shit after being thrown out with only a handful from his closet and that wasn't much. As Icarus let out a deep breath he saw what had just been inside of his lungs escape and wrinkled his nose. It had to be fifty degrees outside and Icarus was hoping that Stella had the heat cranked up in her car. As the thought of his friend's warm vehicle filled his mind he say her gray range rover pull up infront of him. He smiled and immediately perked up as it pulled up beside him and the door flew open since Stella was impatient and apparently couldn't wait for him to open the car door himself. The seventeen year old smirked as he tossed the plastic bag on the floor of the car and hopped in. He stayed silent as he shut the door and turned to the girl with a goofy grin on his lips. Once his seat belt was on he turned toward her with that smug look on his face and smiled. "Mmm - you look impressive yourself Ms. Mccartney." He then leaned toward the female and nestled his nose up right next to her nose. His lips brushed up against her soft skin and lingered for a spilt second before he gave her cheek a small sweet kiss that could be taken either way, in a friendly manner or possibly more. It all depended on how she wanted to interpret it.
